6 reasons your Medicare coverage deserves a second look this AEP

💊

Drug formularies reset January 1

Your medication may shift to a higher cost tier next year. A formulary check during AEP takes minutes and can save hundreds.

🏥

Your doctor's network status may change

Plans renegotiate provider contracts each year. Your current physician may not be in-network under the same plan in 2027.

📋

New plans are available every year

Carriers add and modify plans annually. The best option for your situation this year may not have existed last year.

Your plan's star rating may have dropped

CMS publishes star ratings each fall. Plans below 3 stars for consecutive years risk contract termination — your annual check is your early warning.

💰

The 2026 Part D cap changes the math

The $2,100 annual out-of-pocket cap on Part D is in effect for 2026. How your plan structures cost-sharing under that cap matters more than the premium alone.

📞

You haven't reviewed with an agent this year

An independent licensed agent compares every plan available in your county against your prescriptions and providers. It takes 30 minutes. It costs nothing.

About the free AEP review

When is Medicare AEP 2026?

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP 2026) runs October 15 through December 7, 2026. Anyone on Medicare can switch plans, add or drop Medicare Advantage, or change their Part D drug plan during this window.

When do AEP changes take effect?

Any changes you make during AEP 2026 take effect January 1, 2027 — that's the start of Plan Year 2027.

Can I change from Medicare Advantage to Original Medicare during AEP?

Yes. AEP is the broadest Medicare enrollment window — you can switch from Medicare Advantage back to Original Medicare (and add a standalone Part D plan) during this period.

How long does a Medicare review take?

A review with Kayla Price takes about 30 minutes by phone or video. Have your Medicare card and current medication list ready.

Is the Medicare review really free?

Yes. As a licensed insurance agent, Kayla Price is compensated by the insurance carrier when you enroll in a plan — never by you. There is no charge for the consultation, whether you switch plans or not.

December 7 is the deadline. Don't wait.

AEP closes every year on December 7. Changes made after that date won't take effect until the following year. A 30-minute call now protects your coverage for all of 2027.
